Yeah, I was gonna' post that. Pot's not got no hold on us, yo. Chocolate would be addictive in the same way that pot is, 'cause it's an emotional thing. If you like it, then who cares? Eat the damn stuff and enjoy it.

really? I had no idea!

So, the people who consume too much of it are doing it by choice? Or is there a mental addiction thing going on? Like... they like the way it feels...? I've heard it's not a dangerous drug but then I've heard people lose themselves and don't have total control over what they are doing, so it's classed as dangerous (that's why it's illegal)?

I really know jack all about drugs. I definitely had no idea about that.

Heroin isn't addictive?

Heroin is. Marijuana is only addictive in that people become dependent on it because they like the way it makes them feel. No part of your brain relies on marijuana, however. It's not an addictive drug and there's no such thing as going "cold turkey" with pot.

It's actually also not very bad for you. MUCH less worse than cigarettes. It's not addictive and lung cancer is very difficult to get unless you're smoking unholy amounts.

Two types of addictions here - biological and psychological. Heroin et al are biological and psychological, whereas most substances, marijuana included, are simply psychological. Not that it makes giving up easier.
