PLAYZONE 2013: A First Report

Jul 08, 2013 00:03

So I'm a big knot of feelings and joy right now, so the report where informative things happen will be next week when I see the show again with mii-hazeru. :}

FOR NOW, I WILL SAY:

I LOVE TSUBASA.

ALSO,

His dancing has taken another leap of improvement. :} Seeing him dance has always been fun because he has such natural grace when he dances (opposed to his non-dancing self who walks into walls when he's sleepy) and every move he makes speaks to his devotion and need for it. He really was born to be a dancer. :)

Not only that, but something truly amazing has happened to him. He spent 90% of the performance smiling. :}}} He and Yara have a duet in the first(?) act and the two of them kept grinning at each other and Tsubasa kept egging him on with wider and wider smiles, and the two of them never missed a step.

Yara called him ボス during curtain call. XD

Other things! 愛革命 was super adorable.

4U were AMAZING. Their dancing, of course, but even more than that - these dudes are funny, and they've got incredible comedic timing. Since my last report including 4U (back during the 10th Anniversary tour, yike), I've gotten even fonder of them. :}}} I was sitting next to a 4U fan, too, and so we talked a bit about Tsubasa and 4U and how adorable the five of them are together. <3

Tsubasa did 青春アミーゴ! With Yuma! WHICH WAS ADORABLE AND VERY UNEXPECTED. XDDD Like I said before, I knew almost nothing about this year's PZ except that Tsubasa was singing 愛革命 and that he was going to dance with Yara and Yuma at some point. :D And, huh, 青春アミーゴ with Tsubasa and Yuma was an interesting choice. The dynamic last year seemed to lean in a fanservice-y direction, but Tsubasa's like an older brother/super young surrogate father figure to Yuma, so it was...not fanservice-y. XD It was just adorable. :D Yuma is such a delightful person, and Tsubasa's clearly very fond of him, and I loved seeing them dance together. <3

Also, holy fuck you guys, Yara and Yuma's song (not bothering with the pamphlet, too sleepy, it'll just be Yara and Yuma's song XD) is amazing. Yara dances. And there's a chair. And Yara doesn't...really...stay in the chair. Nor do his bones remain bones. He's all fluid motion and sexy sexiness and Yuma's got a lovely voice. :}}}

THEN there was TSUBASA. :DDD

There was an MC with the main three and Tsubasa went into the audience to wipe his face with a fan's handkerchief (I love you, Johnny's) - he picked a T&T towel. The girl said her name is Hiroki and Tsubasa went, "Oh, hey, that's my mom's name. :D Okay, I'm going in," and rubbed his face thoroughly all over the towel. Then he gave it back to her and there was a collective swoon around him. XD I love this fandom, you guys.

I couldn't imagine them getting the show even better than last year's, but just like 2012 improving on 2011, 2013 also improved in leaps and bounds. :} The dancing is tighter and more varied - Yara's number with the chair doesn't feel like any other number in the show, and Tsubasa naturally has his flamenco touches here and there.

Yuma sang Zukkoke Otokomichi, you guys. I was singing along (silently) in my seat bouncing up and down and Yuma looked over a few times and grinned and he did so well with that song all by himself. :}}} I'm really fond of Yuma.

I'm pretty sure Tsubasa saw me a couple of times, once for sure when he double-took and grinned. XD "One of these things is not like the other ones~"

And then, like, just...HE'S A WONDERFUL HUMAN BEING AND MY HANDS WERE BRIGHT RED FROM CLAPPING AT THE END AND I'M SO PROUD OF HIM AND HIS LITTLE SELF AND HOW MUCH HE'S IMPROVED AND HOW COMFORTABLE HE IS WITH HIMSELF AND HIS LIFE AND oh, Tsubasa. :}}}}} My role model. <3

THAT IS ALL FOR NOW. :DDDD

Oh, also! Yamapi came to see the show tonight! Along with someone whose name I didn't catch. XD;

It is my belief that they are now having a family meal with Takki. u____u

MORE COHERENT REPORT NEXT WEEK. :D FOR NOW REST ASSURED THAT TSUBASA IS HOTTER THAN A BILLION SUNS MULTIPLIED TO THE POWER OF SEXY. :DDD/
