T&T in Nagoya -CON REPORT-

Oct 01, 2012 23:03

~ TACKEY & TSUBASA ~

| NAGOYA 1:30 | NAGOYA 6:00 |

What.

O___o

I went to both shows, yes, but Nagoya was the cheapest and most convenient date of the tour, so in my mind it justifies - ahaha, no, it doesn't, I'm still just crazy. Let's move on. XD

Since I've been seeing these cons on my days off, it's allowed me to take the longer/cheaper means of travel: ~buses~. And, at this point in the tour, I've become a good friend of buses. So far, all the ones I've taken have been very nice. The night bus up to Sendai was comfortable enough that I could sleep off and on for about seven hours, the night bus to Niigata was even more comfortable, and then. Then there was Willer.

The Willer Bus left from Osaka at 8:00am and arrived in Nagoya at 10:00am. All for a clean ¥3,000. *___*

And it had THIS:

That's a TV, dudes. It had over twenty movies both American and Japanese, TV shows, a game system, and a portable time machine. None of the night buses had a TV (because you're supposed to be sleeping, but fuck that, gimme the TV!) and no one around me was using the TV, so for the first hour of the ride I didn't touch mine, either. I thought, "Eh, can't be that exciting." However, I was trying to conserve battery power on my iPhone, so I turned it on and went, O____________O when I saw all the magic it contained.

CRAZY PEOPLE SLEEPING, DID YOU NOT KNOW WHAT YOU HAD. /o\

Also, outside the window was stuff like this:

Japan is gorgeous.

So! I settled in and watched half of Captain America, and then we arrived in Nagoya! :D

I managed the train system surprisingly well - I got from Nagoya Station to the venue's station in record time. Waiting in the lobby of the convention center was this:

Their names were at the top of the list, and everyone was taking pictures. :)

This is where fans spent most of our time before and between concerts:

That floor is also where I did an impression of Footloose/Flashdance/Dirty Dancing. I'd just changed into my black T&T tour shirt -

[stolen mercilessly from luin_lote]

- and was merrily going down the stairs when my foot caught on the bottom step and I did this:

Just like that.

As I was going down I had the weirdly lucid thought of, Well, this will be noticed. And sure enough, when I came to a halt, I could hear 80% silence and felt about 50% more staring. There were two clusters of fangirls near me, and I was already grinning because dude, it was funny, and the fangirls to my left went, "Are you okay?" and I said, "Yeah, that was fun." They laughed, the fangirls to my right asked me if I was okay, I said I was, and I gave a little wave to the people up on the second floor before I continued on my way to the vending machines.

My knees kind of hurt but I didn't really think much of it until a week later when I was changing and noticed a huge brown spot on one of them. XD So, apparently it hurt for a reason. Yay bruising!

Anyway, the first thing I did when I got to the convention center was queue up for goods. I only wanted the wristband, since I'm collecting them, and I was super pleased with the color scheme for Nagoya.

I was tempted to get two to represent the two shows I went to, but the wristbands sell out incredibly fast and I didn't want to deprive the fans after me, so I'm just going to put two gold stripes on the inside instead.

Right, okay, I saw the actual concerts too, I swear. XD

Okay! Since I've already talked about how the con goes, I'll just do highlights and the MC. :) But I have a SET LIST now! :D

MC

This was a loooot of talk about Takki's new CM, featuring Takki the Horny. I'm not sure if Tsubasa knows that particular English word, but he's probably familiar with the shape of a dick and so he did manage to make most of his jokes surrounding Takki's horn sound fairly pervy. *applause*

The first show was hugely overshadowed by the second, so I don't remember all that much, honestly. It was a lot of horn talk.

Also they gave a special mention to the male fans in the audience, and it sounded like there were about twenty guys from the shouting, and in a hall that small, that was surprising. T&T looked very, very pleased. XD
○パピプペヤッポAlright!
○小悪魔ジュリエット
○裸のMIND

I have nothing to say about this except it's an amazing song, in my top three T&T songs ever, and it is glorious and catchy and I love it. *____*
○Nunber One! Only One!

This one I wasn't crazy about when I heard it on the album but now that I've seen it performed, I get the appeal. XD

Tsubasa loves dancing to this. I'm not sure who choreographed it (I kind of hope he did, because I've never seen him so enthused and writhy and technically-perfect-and-a-lot-of-natural-ease-y) but akwjekwa the dance is incredible.
Jr.時代の映像

This is still super cute. :}

There's a part I'm not sure I mentioned where T&T are around sixteen or seventeen in dance rehearsal. They're drawing on a whiteboard one at a time, and while Tsubasa's writing something, Sanche's arm dives into the shot and seizes the back of Tsubasa's shirt. Sanche drags him off while Takki laughs and Tsubasa grins awkwardly and tries flail-ily to hand off the marker to Takki. XD
○True Heart
○The world will never forget…

I'm surprised they added this in, because it's a song about 9/11 (since they debuted exactly a year after the attack on the Towers, they had this song on their debut mini-album). Since I was in New York on 9/11, the song brings back a lot of memories that are a little jarring at a Johnny's concert. XD But the intention behind the song and its execution are both really warm, so it was nice in the end to see them perform it.

Still enormously fond of this. :D

○カミラ◆タマラ

Matsu earned himself the ire of the props dept. during this number. XD

I mentioned in my last con report how this number is set up - six cymbals that each guy has to hit in a way of his choosing. Tsubasa's been using his head lately, and Takki/Tatsumi've been doing what Tsubasa does, and the other three alternate between punching and kicking theirs.

In this show, Matsu kicked his cymbal and broke it in half.

He did a high kick and the broken half went flying. He had a O___O reaction while the rest of 4U and T&T finished the song; he ran over to the broken piece, picked it up, and proceeded to be the biggest dork on the face of the planet. He pretended it was a metronome, then played disc jockey with it, and finally just tried sticking it back on, and then the other half fell. XDDD

Remember that this happened for the concert report below. XD

Last song~

Takki introduced it as the last song and the fans were vehement in their "EHHHH?" so Tsubasa chuckled and said, "You know, when we were in Niigata..." (We kept doing the T&T call until they came back out to thank us for our enthusiasm and to tell us politely that the concert was, indeed, finished. XD)

○Hey Now!

I love this song. :} ......I don't have much more to say than that. Oh, wait, except that I made these from the Yokohama Event!

Things that have happened. :DDDD

○Journey Journey
○WonderlanDream
○Crazy Rainbow

Between shows, I signed the message poster they had set up in the lobby. suikascented was sweet enough to translate a short message from English to Spanish, and I wrote the message amid a sea of "Congratulations and thank you" messages in Japanese. XD Later, after the evening show, I saw someone had written "Felicidades!" high on the poster above mine. XDDD YOU KNOW, BECAUSE OUR IDOL LIKES SPANISH. THAT'S WHY. :DDDDDD /slick

THIS CONCERT WAS THE MOST MARRIED THING I HAVE EVER SEEN.

Combine this Takki:

With this Tsubasa:

And you'll have an idea of how married this thing was.

Leeeet's just jump ahead to the MC.

ETA: WAIT, I forgot Matsu's story! XD

During the afternoon performance of カミラ, if you'll remember from the story above, Matsu broke his cymbal in half with his foot.

So, about two-thirds into the evening performance of the song, the staff bring out the cymbals, and Matsu's is twice the height of all the others. XD BUT Matsu is not a man to be trifled with, and he tries kicking it anyway. He misses by about two feet, but HE WILL NOT BE DEFEATED BY SUCH AN UNWORTHY OPPONENT AS GRAVITY. He jumps and kicks again and again - while everyone else is singing, mind - until eventually Tatsumi joins him and tries to kick the high cymbal, too. In the end, Matsu couldn't reach it, and about 80% of the fangirls were laughing at Matsu rather than appreciating the hardcore badassness of カミラ. ...To be fair, even T&T were grinning across the stage at him by the time the song ended, so カミラ was pretty much a formality in the background of the Matsu Show. XD

- MC -

[Here and here are a full account of the MC transcribed in Japanese.]

Tsubasa said on average he loses 3kg during a concert. O__o

Then he told us about a vase of flowers out in the lobby selling for ¥500,000. Takki was like, "The hell are you talking about. XD Get on with it!" And Tsubasa was like, "Getting on with it~!"

Tsubasa asked about the Jr. era video. He was like, "Has anyone seen those clips before?" And seriously, dead silence. So he and Takki were like XDDD "OKAY, NO ONE THEN, WOW." Then they just started asking stuff about the past like, "Anyone remember the Kaidan Trio? Anyone seen Real Time?" And those a lot of people went, "Yes!" to. Then Tsubasa was like, "Who knows about the Tsubasa and Sho duo?" aaand again, lots of clapping.

They chatted a bit more and then Takki started the cutest thing ever.

TAKKI: [to the audience] How are the kids doing?
TINY CHILD VOICE: Takki!
TAKKI: Hello~!
TSUBASA: [to Takki] You're a terrible older brother.
TAKKI: Oi! I'm a good older brother!
TSUBASA: Nope. Because you sell vases for ¥500,000. u__u
TAKKI: YOU said that! XD Where did that come from!?
TSUBASA: Fine, it's because you have a horn. (Referencing Takki's latest CM)
TAKKI: XD You're really fond of that topic recently, aren't you?

Then came a barrage of tiny voices yelling both of their names. And it was adorable because they found it really difficult to move on with the MC because they didn't want to ignore the kids, and the kids kept shouting their names. So it'd go like this:

CHILD: Takkiiii!
TAKKI: XDDD Hello~!
CHILD: TSUBASA!
TSUBASA: XDDD *waves* Yes, yes, hi.
BOTH: *giggle* (I'm not exaggerating, they were actually giggling)
TAKKI: This is really cute.
CHILD: TAKKI!
CHILD: TSUBASA!

It went on like that for nearly a minute. XDDDD It was so, so freaking cute. And T&T looked endlessly amused by it.

AND THEN.

TAKKI: We went out to eat together yesterday.
TSUBASA: We ate chicken. It was delicious~ (he had this really adorable wistful look on his face)
TAKKI: We've been going out together a lot lately, haven't we?
TSUBASA: Eating together, drinking together, sleeping together....

Usually this is where Takki goes, "IMAI-SAN," and flails about trying to correct the story. This time, he just smiled.

TAKKI: Tsubasa's been really cute lately. Like when he gets drunk. He'll excuse himself from the table to use the restroom by doing this *holds index finger up to lips/nose* "ドロン/I'm off~" and stumbles off. Seriously, like this. *stumbles around stage in mimicry of drunken!Tsubasa*
TSUBASA: We don't really get drunk. I think he just wants to touch me.

Takki explained that the day before, Tsubasa was stumbling so badly he had to grab the back of Tsubasa's belt and yank to keep him from falling over. He put his hand out into the air to demonstrate. XD

TSUBASA: XD Why are you so serene right now?

Takki's lack of embarrassment was surprising even Tsubasa. XDDDD

TSUBASA: *trolls* He drinks Cassis Orange and Blue Hawaii.
TAKKI: XD Yeah, that kind of thing. The food and drink have been really good recently.
TSUBASA: Thank you.

He seemed to be referring to something else...? At any rate, the whole audience started going "OOOO!" at this point.

TAKKI: WTF are we talking about. XD
TSUBASA: Aha, you really do feel nervous/shy, huh?
TAKKI: No I don't.
AUDIENCE: EEEH?
TAKKI: I can't feel shy. I've been with him for seventeen years.
AUDIENCE MEMBER: KISS!
TAKKI: Ridiculous! *laugh*
TSUBASA: We will after the concert. *smirk*

BEST EVER. :DDDDD

There was so much cooing from the audience and Takki usually whines halfheartedly at the fans to stop because it's ~strange~ and whatnot, but that day he just spent his time smiling across the stage at Tsubasa while Tsubasa continued throwing things that would normally embarrass his husband beyond speech. And to be fair, Takki did get blushy eventually, but it took a lot longer than normal.

Anyway! Then 4U joined them onstage, and Tatsumi immediately went, "You were talking about cute things Tsubasa does, right? I HAVE A THING TO SAY." He told an adorable story that recently he and Tsubasa were out together and Tsubasa was like, "Ah, hang on, I'm going to stop at the convenience store." So Tatsumi waited outside. A few minutes later, Tsubasa pushed open the door to the convenient store and headed over to Tatsumi, swinging his bag of ice cream back and forth like a little kid. XD

They talked about how Tsubasa's always whistling or humming Sexy Zone songs recently. XD

TAKKI: You really are a Johnny's fan, aren't you? /fond
TSUBASA: Naturally. :D

When 4U left, they all did the ドロン gesture Tsubasa's been doing to excuse himself from the table. XD They also did it during their dance corner. It was super adorable.

AAAAAAAND ドロン
