So, made it to bed at 5:50 this morning, then to class at 9:30...and I'm still pumped. Once I get into this 10 page paper I'm sure I'll start slipping, but as of now I'm good.
Work today was essentially all of the shop assistants giving each other henna tattoos with the left over paste from the play, eating gyros and picking up paychecks. I love the post-production down time. The only real work I did was fold some fabric.
The weather here is absolutely ridiculous- Saturday it was 80, last night 40 and today 60. I give up on planning beach days.
Still dressing like a hobo, only with cleaner laundry and bonding with my friends the best I can before I leave. I think Carly and Austin are in denial that I won't be around this summer/fall. There is something about knowing you won't be around for 8 months that convinces you that seeing a movie with your friends is a little more important that making it to that extra credit lecture you didn't need in the first place.
Strike is tonight, and I know I'll be working on that godforsaken paper, but I really want to watch the tower fall. The 20 foot tower from The Arabian Nights is being smashed and I'd like to snag a piece. As I got to work on the set, lighting, and costumes I really feel attached to this show.
Andy has taken to making little notes for me about where to go, what to eat, where to shop when I'm in Osaka. We'll be alumni of two colleges together, which is nice. He's warned me about all of the little things- like the undeniable urge for chocolate after eating at the ramen shop across from campus.
Whatever, time to work on this paper. I've procrastinated for about 3 weeks so I guess it's time to get on that thing.
