I only have like, 7 days of high school left. I am still in disbelief. I SWEAR I was a freshmen yesterday. Today was our last monday morning of highschool ever. yearbooks came out. Everything is winding down and it's making me really really sad. I don't understand why people say "I can't wait to get out of here!" I absolutely don't want this to be over.
Since I last wrote in here the Hawks have beaten the Flames and the Canucks. It's been super exciting because it seems like the whole city is getting involved. I've seen a bunch of signs and marquees from stores saying "Go Hawks!" and stuff. It's awesome. Game 6 at home was the absolute craziest i've ever seen. The game kept going back and forth and there were plenty of times where I thought we were going to lose. The best part was getting to see Patrick Kane (if you don't know he is my FAVORITEEEE!) score his very first hat trick. At that point it pretty much sealed the deal that we were going to win. I was seriously holding back the tears. I had chills all over. Everyone just seemed so happy. I'm a sucker for stuff like that. I love when crowds are loud. I seriously would never quit my job. Unfortunatley we lost yesterday to the Redwings (which is equivalent to a sox vs. cubs series). It's okay though because we lost game one against Vancouver too and look what happened! Anyway, I have a feeling that the games at home will be crazier than they ever have. It's conference finals (if we win this series we go to the Stanley Cup) AND it's a classic rivalry. I can't wait!
A week ago was the Believers Never Die tour @ Allstate Arena. The two main things I learned was that 1) I am very glad that don't have to deal with the stress over early entry lines and all that shit. I was stressed just watching everyone worry. 2) Metro Station should NEVER cover any T.I or hip hop song ever again. And Trace should keep his shirt on at all times.
The show itself was really fun. I mostly stayed in the back and danced and sang. Eventually I ended up in the middle of the crowd, and on barricade too. It was cool to watch the show from all different perspectives. I LOVE LOVE LOVE what they did for I Don't Care. The lights were incredible. Seriously, if I could I would live in that moment forever. It was awesome. Also, it was really surreal to see Cobra Starship and All Time Low playing in front of a crowd at Allstate Arena. That still blows my mind.
This Saturday I went with Dan to Milwaukee to see the show again. We had an All Access pass that Gabe left that didn't really do shit (the Eagles Ballroom was on some bullshit). We did get some free pop from catering though haha. The show there was really different than the Chicago show because it was in a much smaller place and it didn't have all that pyro and backdrops. The best part was that FOB played Patron Saints, AND Tell That Mick. We went crazy. Another cool thing was during All Time Low, Alex dissapeared from stage leaving Jack desperately trying to fill in the awkward nothingness. You could tell they were panicking. Then he called the tech dude over and they played Damnit. After that, he picked some random kid from the crowd to come up and sing and they covered Sugar We're Going Down. IT WAS AWESOME. The kid was 110% into it and was jumping around and interacting with the crowd and didn't miss a single word. He didn't even seem nervous. He is my hero now. After that, Jack was about to bring up another kid to sing an All Time Low song but Alex came back onstage. He said he had a panic attack or something? It just reminded me of the CIWWAF show @ HOB.
Anyway, it was a great weekend. I've been really happy for the past few months. this year has seriously been the best of my life. High school has been a great journey and I'm really sad to leave it all behind.
This summer is going to be amazing.
