I might be dead soon
There are drug dealers across the street. I'm sure of it. I call the police to tell them about the multitude of cars stopping at this house for only a few minutes each, while one person waits in the car, and one person goes in. This went on during the day, during the night, on the holidays, etc.
Every time I call the police, the cars stop showing up for a few days.
Weird.
Then it starts again.
This happened for a month or so. I got so frustrated, that I contacted our community action officer. He said they had done a stake out, for a month, and found nothing out of the ordinary. Upon a closer look at his email, the address he referenced for the stake out was our house! Morons! We aren't the drug dealers!
I let him know this. He emailed me back and asked for my phone number. He thought it'd be best if we spoke directly so he could explain the situation to me. This was in March. He never called.
The cars stopped coming to the front. Now the drug seekers drive right by, and go around to the alley. They stop behind the house, or pull up in the back driveway. Then they leave.
Why is it that they stopped having people come to the front if they weren't aware that someone was reporting them to the police? Why did the officer never call me? Why did they "mistakenly" stake out our house? Is it so hard for a cop to watch the right house?
What do you do in this situation? Do you keep pushing and questioning when it's fairly obvious that someone is tipping these people off? I don't believe that all cops are honest. I don't believe that they are concerned about these people across the street. I really think that there are cops who get involved in the drug scene here and cover things, and hurt people. I don't know who you talk to that you can trust.
It's so strange to think that the things that happen in the movies could actually happen, that you could actually be hurt for doing the right thing. A part of me thinks that I'm just being paranoid, and to keep pushing. A part of me doesn't want to be "randomly" shot while getting out of my car at home.
