This side story is from the special booklet that came with the 1st Volume of Feng Yu Jiu Tian (manga version). There’s a lot of hype about this manga release. I finally gave in and ordered the 1st vol after I completed the scanlation. To tell you the truth, I was very skeptical and wasn’t all that impressed with Wang Yi’s manga art style. I prefer her rough sketches (they’re pure bliss). Anyways, there are times I thought the characters looked a little different than a few pages before; the drawings weren’t consistent and the expressions are sometimes dull and awkward. I find the uke (Feng Wu) very annoying and too feminine in the side story; I really disliked his character. But what pulled me through all that negativity? The two intro pages I added and translated about the two characters. It pretty much summed up the general tone of the first volume. I wanted the story, which is up to 26 volumes in the novel (OMG, what did I get myself into). So yeah, I hope you will enjoy the juicy side story because vol 1 is full of teases.
I will NOT be scanlating the manga unless someone has better scans and maybe a better translator.
Well, looks like I will be scanlating the whole volume with the help of some wonderful people. I hope you're all excited as I am!
