My VERY FIRST Time!
I didn’t have internet access until yesterday so I wasn’t able to post about my very fun adventures in Texas. So I will tell you about them now! Towards the end of the week I got rather bored and there was nothing to do at my sister’s apartment. So I decided to read a book. However, my sister only had petroleum reservoir dynamics engineering blah-blah books (I dunno, way to confusing, and I figured it would be a horrendous read) or really cheeky romance novels. So I decided to go with the cheeky romance novel. I do want to reiterate that there is a difference between “cheeky romance” and “harlequin novels”. Or I like to call harlequin romance novels literary porn. I was kind of disappointed that she had no book-porn with Fabio embracing the cover. So anyway, back to my dilemma... for the very first time I opened the cheeky romance novel, so aptly called, Girl Meets Boy. I really got into the novel and was so miserably disappointed that I had reached the end. Well, I finished it before my plane had boarded. Nonetheless, with my luck, my plane got delayed 3 times and I was forced to buy another book from the overpriced airport bookstore. I purchased another girlie book called Sushi for Beginners. However, it sucked!!! I had to stop when two of the female characters were giving each other hickeys for the sole purpose to look desirable when they went out. And NO, NO, NO, to all the boys out there that think that is a decent plot, because it is not. (on a side note, that reminds me of my childhood, this is embracing, but whatever, I wasn’t aware of what a hickey was “official” but knew what the effects were. I use to suck on my arm because I thought it was cool how my skin would change color. Anyway, I showed my mother the trick and she was not as impressed as I was. I think she told me to “never do that again”. I remember being dumbfounded. I wasn’t sure what was wrong with my trick.) Anyway, back to books…. I think I might have to try my luck again with a different novel. But for the time being, I will stick to my summer assignments because I have ample amount of reading for classes. My first one is the Epic of Gilgamesh and Chapter one in my history book. So that leads me to summer school----
SUMER SCHOOL!!!--> Today was my very first day of class. It wasn’t that bad. I am taking 4 classes, two BS classes and two real classes. I now have a crush on my 70 year old history teacher. Dr. Kicklighter is a stud! No lie. I think I may be attracted to the unusual. Today he wore pants to his chest, suspenders, a purplish-pink tie, and dark heavy framed glasses. (this is a living testament to all you guys, that you don’t have to wear fashionable clothes to woe girls (or some girls, or girls like me who are attracted to bizarre occurrences).
Another first for me is moving into my apartment. I am so excited, so everyone will have to come see it and me. If I am not a good enough ploy to get you to come then maybe my TV will be. My cable plan allows me to get billions of stations. (really) Tonight I was set and didn’t even have to go out. I watched Friday the 13th and Murder by Numbers (with some friends….don’t worry I wasn’t by myself). Anyway, summer is going well besides work which shines the fluorescent lights of hell and sugar cones. I need a new job.
Overall, I had a great time in Texas with my sister and was very sad I had to go. I am really happy that I am home and can start all the things I have planned for the summer.
