Shopping made my day today! There's something to be said for walking into every store and getting compliments on how cute you look. For me, that sort of thing doesn't happen very often; so I guess I appreciate them more when they do. I saved over $150 today too!
It was nice to have a good time after the heartbreaking conversations and realizations of the previous days. Those days included the realization that practically none of my 'friends' from high school were really my friends. Those days taught me that i must face moving on if i don't wish to be treated as a charity case or be thrown a pitty party.
It's difficult to think of so many people faking to care about you.
It's amazing who compliments me or cares about me now. They're people that I didn't click with in high school, yet talk to lots today. I've always been a loather of drama. I don't have it with these people.
I have real connections.
As we get older, we find ways to find these relationships. We find them throgh new jobs, new surroundings, and new experiences. I have truely started a new chapter. Some characters don't play a role in the story anymore. Some characters are introduced for the first time. The plot begins to twist, and the setting changes. The journey of the story continues.
