Seems like I only post to advertise something, buuuut...
Myself and several others are working on a Text-Based/Forum MMORPG for a hopeful release in Spring 2005. It has a medieval/fantasy theme, much like that of LOTR or Everquest. A lot of effort has already gone into this project, but we're still looking for more help!
Currently, we are looking for the following, to do the following:
+ Writers Must be good with Fantasy stories and the like!
- Will assist in coming up with starters for Quests, which will be led by specific moderators. (These will include things like: "___ has been stolen, you must find it and recover it, and defeat blah blah blah.")
- Persons interested in being Quest Moderators. Awesome writing skills are needed, as you will be writing entire Quests from scratch, or going off of starters that others have written.
- Writers willing to help piece together bits of information about the land and it's inhabitants and put them into stories for a database. We have all sorts of mini-histories being put together, but need people willing to turn these histories into short stories that can be added to a sort of encyclopedia.
+ Pixelators Must be good with creating tiny/small images!
- Will assist in creating new layouts for the forum by creating buttons and icons and the like.
- Will create images for items in the database. This is included, but not limited to, food items, armor, weapons, staffs and amulets, books, etc.
+ Graphic Designers Must be good with Photoshop or PSP
- Will help create new layouts for the RPG forum (ie: create headers, buttons, etc.)
- Will help wtih the general design of the official website for the RPG.
It would be greatly appriciated if anyone is interested in doing these things!! This is a huge project, and we hope it will be a good one. The more people who help, the sooner it can be released. We are also looking for people interested in moderating the forums and the like, so if you're interested, let me know on that too!
