Hey everyone!
Just wanted to give a quick update!
I attended Anime Boston this past weekend, and I guess it's safe to say that I am now a Girugamesh fangirl. After all, I spent most of the con stalking them! XD Well, not really, but kinda.
On Friday, I waited in line to get their autograph. I did get all four band members to sign my shiny new "GO" album. But as you can see above, I also took advantage of my "free 2nd autograph with CD purchase" and got my arm signed as well. I was so starstruck with Satoshi and Nii, that I only ended up remembering to ask once I got to ShuU and Ryo.
The truth is that I only started listening to a couple of Girugamesh's songs a week before the con. But the guys were just so frickin' adorable that I can't help fangirl over them!~~
My favorite member is Ryo, because he has such a girly face and is always smiling. ALWAYS.
But I did go to their concert on Friday night, and if the aches from my neck (result of head-banging) and my arm sockets (result of fist-pumping) or my sore throat (result of frequent yelling) are any indication, I assume that Girugamesh rocked my world. *y*(^0^)*y*
Then on Saturday I staked out the panel room for 4 hours where Girugamesh was going to hold an hour-long Q&A session. (I'm probably not supposed to do that, but this was my first con as well as my first encounter with a famous Japanese rock band, so I was barely aware of the regulations. :P )
Of course, there were a lot of LOLs.
One awesome person asked if the members could put on their cute faces. Luckily for you, I have personally made a macro demonstrating this historic event:
*If you like this, then please do spread it around on the Internet.* ^_~
Of course, Satoshi, the guy on the far right, only held his face for literally 2 seconds until he collapsed into a facepalm. In fact, he facepalmed a lot during the panel. XD
EDIT: I think I should mention, on Sunday at the convention, I saw Satoshi walking through the convention center's entrance. I wasn't sure if I could get his attention without creating a mob scene, so I meekly called out, "Satoshi?" He kept walking past me, so I was pretty sure I missed my chance UNTIL AT THE LAST SECOND he turned around and faced me. Once my mind established that THE Satoshi was looking right at me, I flailed a "Hiiii!~~~". He shyly waved backed, then continued on his way. afjblgurdppp!!
And I'll just stop here for now. I want to keep this short, but I really would like to share with you guys the happiness that I've experienced this weekend.
Don't worry though: GACKT will always be #1 in my heart. ;)
Oh, and one more thing! If you guys could check out a blog that my friend started with a group of people:
http://blogs.umass.edu/englwrit112-majka/The blog consists of reviews on films and art exhibits.
It would be super-special-awesome if you guys could leave a comment, for it would make my friend happy.
Sankyuu!
