My worst nightmare came true tonight. Let me back up. So here's the long story short. About 15 years ago, I chipped my front tooth. It was bonded, and that was fine. But, just this summer, I got about $2,000 worth of cosmetic dentistry done. One of the things I got done was a veneer on that tooth. I loved it! It looked absolutely gorgeous! FYI: Veneers are supposed to last anywhere from 10 to 20 years.
Well, ever since that tooth broke, I feared that the bond/veneer would fall off. It happened as I was eating dinner tonight. The veneer just chipped in half. I now have an exposed nerve and am in major pain. I have to take the day off of work tomorrow and be at my cosmetic dentist at 8 am, which means I have to leave my house at 7 am. I'm so past the fact that I look like a redneck with my front tooth chipped. I just want to stop the pain!!!
I am just so frustrated! This was never supposed to happen! My cosmetic dentist is one of the best in the country. He works with celebrities and has done Miss America's teeth. His office is filled with pictures of celebrities signed saying things like, "Thanks for the bright smile!" I'm so sick of dealing with this damn tooth!!! Just pray that things go well tomorrow.
