My great grandma, Ellen Linden, was 107 years old. She was the oldest person I have ever met. She loved Chicago until my grandparents moved her to Kimberling City, MO, right next to Branson, maybe five years ago. She loved whiskey sours. She could whip into shape even though she was in the triple digits. I get my middle name from her (Margaret Ellen Stretch). She died today of pneumonia and clotting in her heart. She had stopped eating a couple of months ago, probably due to the fact that she wanted to go soon. I was preparing for this, but you can't prepare for this. My grandparents have not been the most supportive people, but my great grandma was wonderful. I didn't really get to know her as well as I wanted to, not like we ever really do. I feel bad because I feel like I should be better at handling this right now. I'm at work and can't concentrate on reading or anything. I keep crying. I've prayed and I know she is in a better place. I just am sad.
