Does anyone know any good vegan recipes? I'm hosting the D&D game on Saturday, and people are picky eaters. By people I mostly mean Alex, and a little bit Casey just because he's kosher. Kevin and Chris eat anything, and I appreciate that. But it seems that Alex avoids dairy, and for the most part meat, so I've gotta find some stuff to feed these ( Read more... )

Hm...you could try cold sesame noodles? It's pretty much an infinitely flexible recipe because people can choose to add the browned ground meat to their bowl of noodle-y deliciousness or not.

P.S. - And it looks really pretty/gorgeous with the grated carrots and cucumbers in the dish, I mean, if we're going for the bitchy female thing.

For extra presentation points, sprinkle roasted (or not, as preferred) sesame seeds on top.

...if I sound obsessive, it's cause it's the one dish I can make from beginning to end and I really like it. XD Great summer food.

Haha. How exactly do you prepare it? I've seen a lot of recipes and they're all kinda different.

Really thin buckwheat noodles taste great with this, I think Mom usually buys it from the Asian market. Dunk it in cold water after it gets done cooking and drain well ( ... )

Mmmmm sounds yummyyyyy. Yeah, I'd have to leave the meat on the side, unless I used ground chicken or turkey. Stupid picky boy...doesn't eat red meat, refined carbs, or dairy. And then I have another friend who's Kosher, so that means no pork. Ugh, picky eaters! Food is gooooooood!!!! Lol

It is yummy, cooking time is pretty minimal, this is all about the prep, though. On the upside, it's a really flexible recipe.

Would have linked you to something, but uh, it appears that my family uses a seriously different recipe from everyone else. I mean, peanut butter? WTF?
