I'm alive.
Oh my goodness, it's my journal.
Well, in my last update, I mocked the godess Karma by spouting off the glorious features of my new apartment. Payback is the proverbial bitch as it was almost immediatly plucked out of my hands. Long story short, housemate got a job up north (beginning a week later!), the landlord is a maniacal (somewhat racist and sexist) loon and I was out like a little trout.
Thankfully I was able to find another place - I will not be sharing the details as I'm not interested in moving again and I finally got my piano in here the other day. We'll just say that it pales in comparison to not only my previous place but the amazing new apartments of my friends. But
"at least it's mine..."
In other news, I finally watched the first half of the first season of 'Weeds' with Mary Louise-Parker. The show is great and she is fantastic. I missed her after her part on 'West Wing.' Love her. Sort of a crush actually... :)
What else...
Teaching and singing are well underway. My first SF Symphony Chorus rehearsal was good. Nice folks, good singing. It was rough vocally (godDamn Elijah is a lot of singing for the chorus) but the overall level happily reminded me of TFC.
So, phase one of my plan to transition out of non music work (for good!) is complete. I have aquired enough singing and teaching to leave me completely exhausted every day. Once I have about twice as much (and for enough months to know that it's stable) and can't even stand up at work...
I CAN QUIT! And that's exciting.
