My poems are to express my feelings
This here, however, is not a poem.
No, this is not a poem.
I have nothing to say about you
I can't figure out what to say
What is my heart feeling, wanting, saying?
I doubt if I'll ever know
No, this is not a poem
Don't even think that for a minute.
Poems are to express how I feel
I can't express something
Of which I know nothing about.
If I knew what to say, trust me,
I would say it. In a heartbeat.
