- I'm officially addicted to jogging. For the past week, I've jogged up to 5 kms daily. \m/
Blisters are a bummer though. :( :(
It's the perfect sport where you can overthink to pass the time, trip on smooth sounds, and get fit in the process. Satisfies the vanity physical, mental, and emotional (endorphins make you happy!)...it's fucking holistic!!! Does that rawk or what?? \m/ :D
- Finally updated my dusty iPod with over 1,200++ songs! Whew! Uploading is certainly a bitch, but I've added some classic goodness in the form of Yo-Yo Ma, Beatles galore, The Corrs (yes!!), John Denver, Rod Stewart (wtf?), Ray Lynch, the Wonder Years soundtrack, my dad's Bach collection...
most of the stuff were classics from my childhood, when my dad would play good 'ol rock and roll on the weekends when he was around for the entire day.
Aside from my quick temper, sharp tongue, and charismatic smile (not to mention, a healthy self-confidence xD), I got my audiophile tendencies from my dad. Music love is something that I will forever be grateful to him for, aside from my international school education.
- Listening to emo-ness in this cloudy, COLD (15 degrees celsius!!) Sunday afternoon. My picks: Alanis, Lisa Loeb, Natasha Bedingfield. Really lovin' Lisa Loeb's "the way it really is" album. <3 The lyrics really get to me. Here's a sample:
Try - Lisa Loeb
What's the difference between you and me?
To me it's kind of small, to you it's like prison
What's the difference between you and me
To me it almost happens, to you it almost isn't
How did you become so sure?
Your girlfriend never smiles, no one ever calls
You begin to wonder if they were your friends at all
You frown, you take a look around
You shout, this will never get better
But the doubt that you grow in your field is sprouting
Turning your field into a deeper valley
[Chorus]
You'd find
The mountains aren't so high
If you'd only try
To do better
9:33 in the traffic at the stoplight
Somebody hits you, nothing ever goes right
in the gridlock, nothing ever goes right
But it's just a little scratch, not a permanent scar
Just a tiny dent, you don't need a new car
Just a little mess, your dreams aren't shattered
You climb up while I hold the ladder
[Chorus]
How many times I've tried, how many times I've missed and I've tried
How many times I've tried, how many time I've missed and I've tried
When everything's so difficult, I feel so low
But I find a better view
On the other side of the window
So that's the difference between you and me
What if you believe that the grass could grow
up through the snow, It's possible
You'd find
The mountains aren't so high
If you'd only try
To do better
--makes me realize, am i just exaggerating things? And so i (over)think again...-
