Super-yay!
Well it looks like all the finger crossing paid off...
Todd and I are scheduled to meet with the owner of the reception site tomorrow and drop off our wedding deposit! Woohoo! So mark your calendars (well, next year's calendar) because our date is October 7, 2007. Yes i know, its like 20 months away, but there is only one Columbus Day weekend each year. Its a Sunday, so rock on discounts, but since most people (aside from the bride) have off that Monday its really like a pseudo-Saturday. Whatever it is, I'm thrilled. Our ceremony and reception are both going to be there and I couldn't be happier about it. I have a theme going and everything. So now I can book a photographer and a dj, and sit back and relax for 8-months and not think about anything! And since I have such a huge amount of time to plan, my mom and I are going to set to work making a large majority of the wedding stuff... Invitations, save the date cards, jewelry, my dress, etc etc etc. I'd love to get married sooner, but we still have to get a house at some point. haha. But anyway, that's the news for now. :)
PS - Since I failed to mention it before, we're having it at The Meadowbrook up in NY by Todd.
PPS - We still have to drop off our deposit tomorrow, so as of now nothing is set in stone.
(i'm not really expecting any changes though)
