Three Injured in Harbeson Crash

Harbeson- Three people were injured in a thursday night accident on Us. 9 in Harbeson said state police spoksman Master Cpl. Jeffery C. Oldman

According to police a 2006 Chevy Colbolt driven by 18 year old Rehoboth Beach residen Karl A. Richter was eastbound when he looked down to change his cd player. When he looked up he realized he had veered the vehicle into the westbound lane and tried to wuickly steer back into his lane.

He lost control of the vehicle, striking a ford Explorer driven by 38-yearold Virginia Resident Elizabeth D. Forgrave, who was westbound and had slammed on her brakes and steered into the shoulder to avoid Mr. Richters spinning car.

The Cobolts left rear corner struck the explorers front end sending it spinning io the eastbound shoulder

Mr. Richter who was wearing his seat belt, was treated at Beebee Medical Center for a Laceration to his head.

A front seat passenger Lindsay A. koser, 17 of Milton was flown to Chritiana Hospital, where she was omitted in serious but stable condition with head trauma. ms. Koser was wearing her seat belt said Cpl. Oldham.

A back seat passenger in the cobolt Nicole E. Graver, 18, of Lewes, was flown to baltimore Shock Trauma where she was ommited in serious but stable condition with internal and facial injuries. Ms. Graver was not wearing her seat belt, Cpl.Oldham said. ( *like it would have made a big diffrence*)

Ms. Forgave and a passenger in her vehicle both refused medical treatment.

The crash remains under investigation.
