Everything was going fine. The crowd was alive singing along, cheering and screaming and generally just over joyed to see one of their favorite bands preform live before them. Yes, everything was going fine no....more than fine. Everything was perfect.
But, that perfectness... it came to a screeching halt.
The note Ville was holding cut short and turned into a gasp and Bam could only watch as green eyes widened in alarm and slender legs bent at the knee and gave out. Could only watch as the lanky body collapsed to the stage floor, tattooed arms wrapping around a heaving chest and full lips parted trying to take in air Ville so desperately needed.
Bam...he should have known something was wrong just by looking at Ville. The way he was a bit paler than the normal and the way his breath rattled in his chest as Bam told him with a shit eating grin to 'Break a leg' before he went out on stage but, he didn't and he didn't have any form of protest as Ville gave him a weak grin as he left to go stand under those bright lights and in front of the thousands upon thousands of screaming fans.
For the first time in his life, Bam was scared and he wasn't scared for himself. He was scared for the man being helped to his feet and escorted backstage to where he could get looked at. His feet felt like they were glued to the floor and he could only watch as Ville was rushed past him, the sound of the Finnish man's heavy, labored breathing ringing loudly in his ears.
He didn't know how long he stood there but, he snapped himself out of his daze and quickly followed after Ville. He had to be at the taller man's side, he had to. He searched the backstage area and heaved a sigh of relief as he saw Ville. He was huddled over, brown curls hiding his face and slim chest still heaving as he tried to take in the oxygen his body was so starved of.
Placing a small smile on his lips, he made his way over to the hunched over man and crouched down, placing his hands on Ville's thine knees to help balance him. "You okay?" He asked softly, raising one hand to brush a few curls out of Ville's face.
A shaky smile formed on Ville's lips and he nodded his head, chest still heaving and breath still rattling in his chest. Bam frowned and cupped Ville's cheek. "You can barely breath. How can you be okay?"
Ville struggled to take another raspy breath and he raised a shaky hand and placed over the one Bam had resting on his cheek. "You're here." Even though his voice was strain and faint, Bam still heard him and he felt this warmth blossom in his chest.
Things would be fine, Bam knew they would because already Ville's breathing was getting easier and color was slowly returning to his skin. Yes, things would be fine, they always were in the end.
