So I finally got back into my American school routine. 6 classes and just got a job as Library Assistant in the Special Collections department of our library - not really something I really wanted...but there was slim job pickings. Luckily I had actually used the Special Collections Department at my Aussie school so I had some experience haha.
Blah internships are so annoying. So much denial. I've had a couple interviews so far but they've been with places I didn't really want. I'm just applying like everywhere now. I wish I knew what area of marketing I wanted to do. So far I've been applying to account services in ad agencies, media planners, market research, events, ad sales, and general marketing. Ugh it so hard to tailor a resume to each job...so much time. I actually just redesigned my resume though and it looks pretty baller. I think I may want to do market research but ahh I don't want to spend all my time in front of a computer, I want to lead meetings, brainstorm, and physically collect data and present it.
On a happier note, I freakin love living off campus. Sure I have to walk 15 minutes to get to campus and pass this park where lots of robberies occur but its so refreshing to live independently and not have to worry about apartment/dorm checks, RAs, fire drills, or campus regulations. We light candles, we blare music, we have alcohol out in the open, we have parties. fantastic!
hmm I could probably blab on more but I'm off to the first of several meetings tonight.
