i also loved the THERE WILL BE BLOOD score. so good.

i liked RATATOUILLE a lot, but i liked PERSEPOLIS more even though the filmmaker/artist says she's not a feminist.

saw 4 WEEKS 3MONTHS 2 DAYS finally last night. i thought it was good, but it left my head swirling and almost gave me a panic attack. it might have actually given me one depending on what your definition of panic attack is. erin and i are going to make it the first film we discuss for an entire hour and not the normal 15-20 minutes which i think totally makes sense. and this by no means means i think it was perfect, but that there is SO MUCH to discuss. i agree with the shot/bong hit/group hug afterwards though. i was shattered when it was done which is interesting because it isn't actually a "bad" ending (i mean, in the sense of what it could have been all things considered), but still so distraught and shattered. can't wait to discuss it.

disagree about DARJEELING.

you should REALLY see tilda in STEPHANIE DALEY especially since you liked 4 MONTHS so much. in one scene it really is as close as america can get to 4 MONTHS. please see it.

kelly macdonald is even better when you realize she's the schoolgirl from TRAINSPOTTING and really has a scottish accent!!!

um that's because there is nothing to be convinced of by paul dano's performance. he was great in LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE because he DIDN'T SPEAK. and he probably never should. he kind of ruined the movie for me.

sigh.
