It’s not a crash, boom, done, sort of deal. It’s a little by little crumble. Something like taking a cornerstone out of a building and watching it fall in slow motion. It can’t be helped. One second is bliss and the next is anything but, and that’s just how it goes, no matter how fucked up it might seem.
The story
Half way through things start weighing down. It’s little things, like an hour less of sleep for every album released, one flash too many in the never-ending sea of cameras, that one bite less of every meal because appetite is becoming a stranger. It becomes less about the dream and more about the money. A figment of imagination won’t feed an empty stomach, after all.
The beginning
It’s a nice start to things. It’s a thirteen year contract, a lifetime really, but not when the age range is only 16 and 30th birthdays seem a lot farther away than they really are. But who cares? They’ll be stars, famous, unstoppable.
