Update...
Okay, so I'm not hired yet :'( But I did go to my interview yesterday and I think it went pretty well. I found out that in addition to doing admin assistant type stuffs, I'd also get a chance to travel on rare occasions... but a chance to travel is still a chance ;-) I'd also get to go on location to various places in the city to help with photoshoots or video shoots or whatever else they might be doing that day. The job sounds so fun and I really REALLY hope I get it.
I guess the Craigslist ad wasn't supposed to be taken down so early, but Craigslist took it upon themselves to take it off for some reason. But they never reposted it, so hopefully that means that of the couple of people that they have--they think someone is suited for the job. I guess a couple of other people besides me managed to get through as well. :'(
However, I learned that the PRESIDENT of the company read through my resume thouroughly and liked that I had writing experience and that's why she wanted me to come in. Hopefully these other people maybe don't have the writing experience... hehe. And I guess the current Admin Assistant/Proofreader is leaving, and they want someone to start immediately, and I'm definately willing to start immediately... what's Borders going to do if I put in my two weeks and say that I can only work evenings or weekends for those two weeks? Are they going to fire me?? --Ooh I'm shakin!! They want the current admin assistant to still be there to train his successor before he leaves. And he (the current admin assistant) goes to PSU and looked to be the same age as me. So that tells me that they're looking for someone younger to take over the position.
Anyway... next week, they're doing 2nd interviews with the PRESIDENT of the company (I must have interviewed with the Vice President or something) and I was told that I'd be contacted on Monday or Tuesday to set up a time to come in for the second interview on either Thursday or Friday.
Then the following week--April 15-April 21 is when they're going to make their final decision and hire the person and have that person start ASAP.
UGH! I hate waiting... and I REALLY REALLY REALLY x 1,000,000 want that job.
