Woooo today I got back from my fantabulous weekend down in Eugene with my buddies!
On Thursday, I was intending to leave a little after my orthodontist appointment, but due to my mom wanting to talk to me before I left, my needing to finish my grammar final before I left, and my laziness in regard to packing, I didn't end up leaving until like 7:30. I got down to Eugene 'round 8:30, after a few minutes of turning around and trying to find Erin's apartment. I wanted to go down to Eugene on Thursday because I wanted to go to this infamous 80s night at John Henry's that I hear so much about. Anyway, so at around 11-11:30 (I dont' remember) we left for the bar with our 80s gear in check. To 80-ize myself I wore jeans, my Kangaroo shoes and my "trans-am" T-shirt with some rad neon plastic earrings. 80s night was pretty fun, I had a rum and coke which was way strong. One is all I needed. I had fun attempting to dance and saw a guy throw up on the wall. That was pretty gross but funny at the same time.
On Friday, St. Patty's Day, we didn't really do all that much, since we were all tired and such from the night before. But we went to the VRC for some shoppin' and then later that night we went to the bar to celebrate St Patty's Day. We also went to Red Robin. We went to this Irish bar called Lucky's and I tried to drink a beer but I didn't really like it so I gave it to Rachel. I tried a sip of Guiness but it tasted like dirt. So the rest of the night I just drank water. I know I'm pretty awesome, but that's me. This guy called me senorita and tried asking me about my non-existant career and about what I liked to read and write about. When I told him that I didnt' really read all that often he was like "how do you know what to write about?" and I told him "well I could write about this (his trying to hit on me)" and left. Kayla- 1, creepy guy at bar- 0. Then outside, this drunk guy yelled at us asking us to help him find Springfield, and I told him that I didn't know because I didn't live in Eugene and he drunkenly called me a liar.
On Saturday, nobody was really motivated to do all that much. Recuperating from the night before I guess. Erin and I went to Buffalo Exchange and ate Pineapple Pizza and watched "Breakfast at Tiffany's" Then, later, Heather, Stephanie, Rachel and I went to the dollar theater and saw "Memoirs of a Geisha" which was really good, it was both sad and happy at the same time.
Today, Heather, Erin and I went to the Pearl St Ice Cream Parlor and I had a yummy BLT and chocolate milkshake. Then we took the love test and I found out I was "burning." Oooh. Then at around 2:30 I had to go back home so alas, I left.
Tonight, I finished my article for my class, talked to Jimmy, and watched TV and played some "Paper Mario" on GameCube. Tomorrow, I get to clean my room and I think I will go eat lunch with mah Jimmy. Then tomorrow night through Wednesday I'm hoping to spend a bunch of time with Jimmy before we go on vacation.
