Musical Hell Week...
categorized by tired, overworked, underrated singers, musical hell week involves at least 4 hour rehersal/performance slots every day. 1 tech rehersal, 2 dress rehersals, and 4 performances occur during this week. Musical children dissapear from their normally frequented circles of companionship, receeding to the stage. Friends and family can't account for the missing students and tend to be angry and feel that their musical friend/child is overly stress out and totally lost (not to mention rediculously tired, crabby, and in need of a smile...)
P.S.
I learned today that procrastination is a defense mechinism... ponder that one. It's a perfectionist's way of avoiding the stress and anxiety from their need to do things perfectly. (Warning: do not confuse procrastination with laziness, they are 2 entirely different entities)
