DAY 16- Whoa it's day 16 of summer and it just happens to be Brittany's sixteenth birthday!
sorry brittany i stole your entry it's just i wrote about our camp out and the concert and i left out a whole bunch of important stuff and i read yours and it was tonsssss better than mine about describing the day.
"Yesterday was my birthday!! Woo hoo and it was awesome. I was awakened at 9:30 by Sammy, Danielle, and Devon, who sneaked into my house and kidnapped me. But it's ok b/c they took me to Ham & Eggs and bought me breakfast! And they made me wear a pink feather boa and a little pink tiara thing. It was so cool. I had the best french toast ever and one freaking huge biscuit and gravy. *blush* I finished all of it. And there was a big group of old guys that asked me why I was wearing the feather boa and when I told them it was my birthday they all yelled, "WELL HAPPY BIRTHDAY THEN!! TIME FOR YOUR SPANKINGS!!" Quite interesting. Then Sammy drove me home and I took a nap and ordered my cell phone (!!!) online. Then Sammy came back over at about 4:30 and we got ready for our campout! We set up the tent in my backyard and tried calling Amanda like a million times and she never answered so we reluctantly went to the Mae concert without her.
So we got to the Mae concert in creepy Deep Ellum and saw Nick Langley, the Jerk Chicken, and I met Krys (Chris's gf). Unfortunately, me and Sam didn't buy our tickets ahead of time b/c the stupid Albertson's people lied to us aaaand we never actually got into the concert. What a bummer. We were like standing in line for 2 hours surrounded by a bunch of emo chain smokers (we saw an emo midget!) and we felt really out of place b/c we were the only preps there and we were the only ones not smoking lol. The guy at the door said that it was all full and he wouldn't start letting people in until some people left the concert. We gave up eventually and went home, VERY bummed out. But hey, we have super-cute Mae t-shirts!! And we had our own personal Mae concert in Sam's car, blasting the CD.
Then we FINALLY got ahold of Amanda and she met us back at my house. We made my dad help us build a campfire b/c we're environmentally challenged, and we made s'mores. It was so cool. We need to camp out in my backard more often. We talked to Nick, who told us all about the amazing concert that we didn't get to go to. He got the lead singer's guitar pick. And then we talked to Chris and some other people he was with. Then we talked to this stupid Justin guy that thinks girls who say they don't masturbate aren't trustworthy. Whatever. We just kinda hung out my the fire and then went to bed in the tent with the door flap open and we could still see the stars through the ceiling net thing. The only not-so-fun moment was when I found a HUGE spider on my arm in the middle of the night and me and Amanda ran out of the tent screaming. Haha Sammy had to kill it. I'm normally not afraid of spiders, but seriously it was HUGE.
In the morning we took Bonita for a ride to Sonic and had breakfast and it was yummy. And Chris called Amanda wanting her to make him and Jamie some sandwiches? Uh... sure, ok. NOT!
This afternoon my mom and I went out and bought supplies for the partay Friday night. Unfortunately, my favorite Beanheads won't be there. Oh well. "
"Ew a bug. throw it in the fire." -Amanda
"No! That's so mean!" -Sammy, as she throws it in the fire. "Aw man I want to watch it burn to death. That was like a waste of a bug!"
"Ok. You put your hand over the little hole and you pump the silver knob in and out. that's ALL you do. Do you get that?" - my dad
"Yeah, yeah... I get it. You open the top and--" -Sammy
"NO. YOU DO NOT OPEN THE TOP." -my dad
"I wonder what Ian would say if he were here. He'd probably go crazy and say he's never seen so many emo kids in his life." -Sam
"I bet he'd walk up to people and ask, 'Can I borrow your razorblade?'" -Me
"I am scene kid!" -Me
