dentistry is dangerous
So i get a call from my mom after school and she says that she is at home because she had to come home from work early...and i ask why? and she says well i had a work injury...i am thinking wtf mate...so i ask what do you mean?....and she says well someone bit me...and then i was really like WTF MATE?!....but i had to hang up b/c the light turned green and she doesn't like me to talk on the cellular device while driving an automobile...so i wait till i get home to hear the rest...So get home and my mom is sitting there with this pathetic bandaged finger...And she tells me what happened...she was working on this 18 year old patient who is autistic...and she was trying to do x-rays and so you have to put these lil tabs in your mouth and bite down...well he was having some trouble so she said we could do it later....but he made a motion like he wanted to try again...so she put the tab in and he bit down and would not let go....and my mom said she doesn't even remember what she was saying ...but the guys attendent was trying to help and finally he opened...he didn't puncture the glove but there was a deep cut on the tip of my moms finger....sooo....her the patient before happened to be a docter so they called her in to give stitches...and the guy got scared during the whole ordeal and hid in the bathroom...so mom felt bad...b/c she didn't want him to think she was mad at him....but anyways...they had to give him blood tests and all that ...so my mom got the rest of the day off....and that my friends is why you should love your dental hygenists....
