I'm a college girl! :D
Alrighty, so yesterday began the next four years of my life at UT Austin.
I woke up at 7:55 brewed some coffee, got ready, and was out the door 50 minutes later headed off to my first class!
9 a.m. Chemistry 304K - WOW! Not what I expected! I was under the pretense that my FIG (Freshman interest group) meant I would be in classes of only like 25 people. Uhhh, wrong. It means that I have those 25 people in my class of like.... 300. LOL. Oh well, I sit in the front row next to some really nice people (who aren't in my FIG, go figrue) and the class seems like it will be a blast. Great prof and seems like it will be decently easy.
10 a.m. FIG Seminar - Uhhh... slightly boring, but I met 3 girls who seem like they will be really cool.
11 a.m. Communication Skills... a.k.a. SPEECH! WOW! My prof is definitely Lorelei Gilmore (for those Gilmore Girl Fans out there... Megan and Kel). She's super awesome. I mean, she acts, looks, and talks JUST like Lorelei. No joke. She's super spunky and makes me smile and laugh. Unfortunately the class is... Speech, which means, SPEAKING. (meep) I must admit that's not my forte, plus LOTS of research for this speaking. Blarg. We shall see.
12 a.m. German 312L - I almost pissed myself I was so nervous. I went into a classroom with all older people and I was so afraid I wouldn't understand. The prof said, "Bitte, alle vorne. Nur ein kreis bitte." Everyone looked dumbfounded. I felt so much better. I seem to be in a good way in this class. Hehe. Excellent. Although many people say they never learned anything from Bauske, I will admit I did. :) Ooo... I still have homework for that class *makes mental note*
That's it for the day! HAHA! I went back to my dorm room and found that I had a package waiting at the front desk for me. Momma had sent me flowers!! :) *cries* HOW SWEET! She always sends me flowers for the Firsts. Haha. It's really sweet and now my room smells awesome.
I've been doing a lot of hanging out with Matt and Alicia (my roomie) and working out. It's really nice. I would like to get out there and meet some more people, but I've only been to class once so, I'll give myself a break.
Today I didn't have class till 12:30... SUCKERS! Haha. ANNNNNNNNNNNND I got done at 1:45... for the day. HAHAH!
12:30 p.m. Psychology 301 - My prof seems like a great old guy. He's really funny and cracks up the whole class of 100. He's so funny and has a really dynamic personality. I really look forward to this class.
Yup. So the rest of the day/night = German Homework, Pluckers with Alicia, Wing meeting @ 7 and then Movies with Matt in Jester West!
OOOOooo... AND I'M COMING HOME TOMORROW! My momma is turning 50 and I'm super excited. Plus, I get to see my wonderful, beautiful, adorable boyfriend! MARKY!! YAYAYAY!
