woo!

Well, I've been spending more time being nervous about going to London than anything else, but I just went back to being excited, because I looked a little more closely into the location of the school and the location of my dorm, and it's pretty awesome. As far as I can tell, I'll be living essentially on the Millenium Mile, putting me next door to the National Theater, and within easy walking distance of the Globe Theater, the Tate Modern, and a slightly longer walk or short bus trip from from the National Gallery, the National Portrait Gallery, etc, etc, etc. It's enough to almost make me wish that I won't have any friends so I can appropriately devote my time to hanging out in museums.

But for now, back to hoping that my plane arrives in London intact. Or, as Bryan so helpfully pointed out in the wake of the most recent terrorist scare, "You don't need to worry about flying TO London. Just don't come back."
