Prompt: jet lagged and bored boys on a plane
A/N: This is for a prompt that
bobbinrob gave me months ago and I never filled any of those prompts because I am a bit of a failure, however since she is feeling down at the moment, I decided to write this one now. I hope you like it sweetie, even though it was so long coming!
Jared shuffles impatiently in his seat. Then drums his fingertips against the armrest. He absently begins to hum snatches of a song he’s had stuck in his head for days and jiggles his head along to the music. A foot suddenly kicks him sharply in the ankle. Jared jerks his head around to glare at Jensen in the seat next to him; who for all intents and purposes appears to be asleep. His eyes are closed and his head is burrowed into his shoulder. Jared’s face softens as he recognises the baggy hoody Jensen is wearing as one of his own that he must have borrowed to combat the rather over-zealous air conditioning on the plane. He decides not to disturb Jensen to investigate the mysterious kicking incident and faces forward again.
Jared taps his foot for a minute. Then reaches below the seat to unzip his backpack and pulls out a bag of candy. He yanks to open the bag, which gives way without warning, shooting sweets into both his and Jensen’s laps and sends some skittering down the aisle. An exasperated groan comes from beside him.
“Dude, can you wreck the place a little more quietly?” hisses Jensen, scrubbing a hand through his hair and turning imploring eyes onto Jared.
Jared grins, “Maybe you should stay awake and help keep me entertained!” Jensen does not appear impressed with this suggestion.
“C’mon, it was already morning when we left, you can’t be that tired.” Jared says hopefully.
“It was seven in the morning Jared, when have you ever known me to be voluntarily awake at seven in the morning?” Jensen sighs and then offers - “Is there anything I can do, that does not actually involve being awake, to help keep you quiet?” Jared pouts for a second, then brightens, he pats his shoulder. “Why don’t you sleep here? Stop me moving around too much,” he smiles and pulls Jensen closer to him by his arm.
“Ok,” Jensen breathes out, dropping his head to Jared’s shoulder and settling down. For a few minutes they are both perfectly still except for the rising and falling of their chests. Jared starts to bounce his leg. Jensen slaps his hand down on his thigh, before giving him a quick pinch.
“Ouch!” Jared grumbles, grabbing Jensen’s hand to prevent further attack on his anatomy. As Jensen’s hand curls into his, Jared sighs and shifts his head so he can feel Jensen’s soft hair against his cheek. The warmth of Jensen’s body next to him and the feeling of their fingers linked together finally dissipates the restlessness that Jared has had all day and he allows his eyes to slip closed.

Prompt: J2 cleaning the gutters, doesn't end too well
A/N: This is for an old prompt from
comment_away that I never got around to posting on my journal.
When Jensen pulls into the drive, he can see Jared standing on the grass, staring discontentedly up at the roof. He wanders over to his boyfriend’s side, moving close enough that their shoulders are touching and tries to make out what has caught Jared’s attention. Finally, he gives up.
“Is there something up there we’re meant to be looking at?” Jensen asks, quirking an eyebrow inquisitively. Jared turns to him with a look of distraction, “huh? Oh, yeah, the gutters need cleaning, look at them they’re filthy!”
“Oh” Jensen hadn’t even considered that answer. He attempts to remember whether he has ever needed to have gutters cleaned before, but comes up blank. “Well I’m sure we can get someone over to do it, I’ll make a call later.”
“What? No, it’s fine, I can do it. It can’t be that hard,” says Jared quickly, looking scandalised at the very idea of someone else doing work on their house. Jensen is more doubtful. “Are you sure? You’re not exactly the least accident-prone person I know,” he says with a smirk.
“Fuck you, I can clear out some guttering without messing it up,” Jared’s tone is indignant, but he grins easily and slinging an arm around Jensen’s shoulders pulls him into the house.
Twenty minutes later, Jared has gotten the steps from the garage and is working out front, whistling cheerfully. Jensen, after watching for a little while, decides that Jared seems to be handling it and relaxes enough to go into the kitchen to make sandwiches for lunch. He’s just buttering the bread, when there is a crash and a yelp from outside, followed by an almighty cracking sound.
Jensen rushes to the door, all sorts of horrible images flying through his mind. He jumps across the threshold and down the steps in one motion. He finds Jared standing on the grass staring sheepishly up at the house. After making sure that Jared is still in one piece, Jensen turns to survey the damage.
The guttering is now hanging precariously down from the roof and crossing in front of their bedroom window. Jared steps up behind Jensen and wraps an arm around his waist, resting his chin on Jensen’s shoulder, he murmurs, “I think we should get someone over to fix the guttering, I’ll, uh, make a call later.” Jensen snorts, “That sounds like a great idea, Jay.”
He raises a hand to brush Jared’s cheek, “You’re not hurt though?” He tilts his head back, eyeing him seriously. Jared grins, “Nah, just a bit of a bruised butt.” Jensen laughs and grabs his hand, “Why didn’t you say so? Come inside and I’ll kiss it better.”
