may showers bring ...... finals?
I saw a tuba senior recital tonight. I thought it would be amusing, and it was. but it was also really inspirational. his program was so varied and not only that, he changed mood/style for every piece. it was really easy for the audience to see what he was conveying in each piece. maybe i was in the mood to be inspired. or maybe i was just impressed by a tuba using a bassoon reed, and using polyphonics, and playing a bach flute partita . . .
i can't believe freshman year is almost over! if you're a graduating high school senior, it may be wise to disregard this paragraph, but MAN am i glad this year is over. i was right all along - change sucks. being unhappy isn't a given. I know for a fact that some people had a really good time and that college was a BLAST from the start. i like oberlin pretty consistantly now. i've settled in and met a lot of really swell people.
now i have to think about what to send home in the mail, what to store in obelrin, and what to bring with me on the airplane! BAH! maybe i should thinking about studying for finals first . . .
