Happiness! I worked NOC last night so I was sleeping this morning and when I woke up I had a message from Tawnya who is in town. So I'm gonna meet her and her family for pizza tonight. I haven't seen her little one yet. Aaaw!
I feel happy today. I don't have to work, I'm listening to the Stone Roses, the weather is nice, my brother just wrote in a survey that he likes Hugh Grant and his favourite colour is anthracite! Heehee.
Switch, last night was insane at work. It must have been the whole friday the 13th thing... haha. It was just madly constant with admits. I even had an ACRP admit in the middle of the night which never happens. (That is our drug and alcohol recovery program which I am not very familiar with as it's a day shift thing.) Fortunately none of our admits were horribly sick or hurt. Poor doctor did not get to sleep at all last night.
Oh man, my back was hurting so badly last night I could barely move at times. Imagine working in an E.R. trying to interact with patients when you are practically keeled over yourself. I could barely open my sliding window one time and every time I would sit back down I had these shooting pains. It's been bringin me down. I don't tell anyone I work with. It's lame to work with nurses and doctors and be in pain but i have to for now because I don't have health care or insurance. The worrisome thing is that I think I have a real problem that might be semi serious.
Our front information desk clerk is leaving in two weeks and an email went out for a replacement so I emailed right back wishing to apply. It would be a monday through friday gig 8-4:30 and with benefits. Plus all I'd be doing is answering calls and directing visitors and doing some Lab/Pathology send ins.
