i've got my laundry on at the moment, and it's on the spin cycle, which is vibrating my ceiling rather... my ceiling doesn't have a very happy life. it vibrates when the washing machine is on, it vibrates when i have the bass turned up if granny is out (like now.... so it's getting a double vibratory dose...), mice have set up home in it, and they're eating a bit of it round the light fitting, and spitting sections through the hole onto my floor. must be a bit disconcerting for the poor ceiling. i also bang my head on it pretty much every morning and evening, getting into my high-bed, and whack it with my elbows several times during the night if i turn over. i bet it's a tough life being papered in lumpy woodchipped paper.
