it struck me today how very non foreigner-friendly english public transport is... think about it. you're on a bus, and you see people pushing the big red STOP buttons, so it gets to where you want to go, you push the button, and the bus stops and lets you off. you then get on a train. you see a big red STOP button. "ah!" you think, and as the train nears where you want to go, you push it... the train stops... and everyone gets very cross with you, the police are probably called, and you get fined £50.
