i wonder what cats hallucinate about

post title today inspired by a story of one of Abi's friends, whose cat came across an abandoned hash brownie. apparently spent 48 hours just sitting rocking back and forth... so anyway, i've just come across the handiwork of a faceless person i am henceforth going to refer to as "the most mind-bogglingly clueless person in the entire building, if not the world". it's catchy. i went down to the basement to transfer my washing from the wascator to the tumble drier, and after moving the first armful across, noticed that my trainers were an inch deep in bubbles. on top of the washing machine next to mine was an empty bottle of washing up liquid... which probably explained the tidal wave of foam cascading out of the powder drawer, down the front of the machine, all over the floor and onto my trainers. nothing i could do, short of stopping their wash cycle, which they'd paid €0.90 for, 26 mins early and leaving them with washing-up liquiddy laundry. i waded across the river of bubbles, turned on my tumble drier and scuttled away before anyone thought it was me. it's entirely possible, however, that when i go down in an hour to fetch my by then hopefully warm and dry underwear, the entire room will be filled with suds and i shall be unable to get to them.
