The American Way of Life

So yesterday was the first day of my lifelong addiction to Krispy Kreme doughnuts. I tasted my first Krispy Kreme after pushing a car out of a snowdrift in the middle of a blizzard.
It was also my first blizzard. I thought it was really cool. Especially driving around in it making a Krispy Kreme and Barnes & Nobles run. After all, what else do students do after a burger at Space Aliens themed restaurant, in the middle of a blizzard, but cram six people into a too small car (I was lying across the knees of the 3 guys in the backseat, and praying that neither the police or the blizzard would take any notice of me) and go for books and doughnuts.
OMG SO MUCH DOUGHNUTS LOVE.
I bought the mug, since I can't import the warm, freshly glazed doughnuts ...

And today I made Easy-mac. I'd never had Mac and cheese before, let alone the chemical in-a-packet variety.
I have also drunk more soda (Mountain Dew, to be exact) and eaten more Ramen in a week than I have in my lifetime.

Randomly, I rang United to confirm my return flight and was told to call back tomorrow morning to make sure my flight would be able to leave Chicago in the current weather conditions. I'm not sure how I feel about this, mostly worried with equal dashes of exalted and upset, I think.
