life 007: "yes, your highness"

This is a story about my 16 year old sister.  (Well, she's turning 16 in September, so close enough.)

She has this impeccable ability to get angry at you, at the smallest thing, when she's the one that should be gotten angry at.

Take today for example:

I've been in the kitchen baking all day (for her, mind you), as she wanted us to do this recipe together, so I had to wait until she got home first.  I had a late night last night, so my brain ignored the alarm clock that went off, so she woke me up when she came home. By then it was already 3pm and my mother would be home by 7 to cook dinner, so I'd have to adjust my time to relinquish the kitchen to her eventually.  My sister decided that she would do whatever else she wanted to do for the next hour or so, and I decided that I wouldn't waste any more time waiting for her to start.

This has been pretty much the step by step of my day.  And no, I hadn't had breakfast or lunch or any snacks of any sorts.  And given my schedule, I'm pretty sure a logical person would know that as well, as I was woken by someone and pretty much went straight to the kitchen.

So near the end of my baking spree, I decided to cook what was leftover of the egg that I had been using as well a sausage.  A single sausage.  And a leftover portion of an egg.  I managed to gobble down the 2 tablespoon's worth of egg quickly, but I still had to put the remainder of my baking in the oven, so I hustled to do that after showing my sister the somewhat end product.  She then comes in to take a picture of it and turns to see the sausage sitting there.

She went to school today, meaning she had a breakfast and a lunch.  She also has a copious amount of snacks laying around her area that I bought for her, and that she is free to eat at any time.  She's been sitting there the entire time on the computer, so she has had an ample chance to consume whatever snack she could for the past 3 hours.

So she asks me if the sausage is for her.  I say "no, I haven't eaten anything today." I didn't say it in a tone where it was exasperated--it was almost said in disbelief.  She then throws a fit at me, pretty much saying I didn't have to be a bitch about it.

What. The. Fuck.

She gets EVERYTHING done for her.  Except for her homework that is.

At this point, I'd like to remind you she's 16.  Sixteen. One-six.

We still need to blow dry her hair for her or she'll not do it at all.  She gets everything cooked for her, by claiming that she'd probably burn down the house if she did it herself.  She won't even cook an instant noodle on the stove, or soup for that matter.  The only things she'll use are the microwave and the water boiler.  Whatever snacks she wants, I buy for her.

Unfortunately for me, my family values are rather high, so I put up with her prissy attitude.  But seriously, the thing that gets me the most is when she decides that she gets to be all angry and defensive when it's something SHE said or something SHE did.

It pissed me the fuck off when I always do something nice for her and she just gives me shit in return.

Peace out.
