life 001: it's the small things that count
So the other day at work I received a hand drawn, manga-style card. It was super cute and it was from a co-worker the same age as me and I thought it was super cute.
Even though I'm pretty sure the card was somewhat massproduced, it still made me really happy.
I'm a person of simple tastes and people get that wrong a lot of times.
My ex once tried to get back with me by buying a $50+ (or at least that's what my friends told me), Mickey Mouse bracelet. All of them had told them that I would most likely not like it/it wasn't really my thing, but of course, he went and still bought it. And lo and behold, I didn't get back together with him, and the bracelet sits in my mother's drawer for her personal use.
