Whew!
I just ran around the city like a mad woman and my adreneline is pumping! It's my birthday on Sunday and I'm going to see the Burlesque Hour with a bunch of friends and I'm really excited about all that. So today I went and picked up the tickets, then Kirsty wanted me to bring something into the city for her and we decided to just meet for lunch, then Jade texted me and wanted to get together to do birthday afternoon tea, so I was like "wanna meet for lunch with me and my housemate?" Then there's this bar that we're going to go to later, probably, and I walked past it, then I popped in and was like "uh, do I need a reservation for 10 people on a Sunday night?" which, yeah, I did, so, taken care of! Now I just have to let everyone know it's taken care of, and make sure I made the reservation for the right time.
So I got to where we were all meeting for lunch early and did some wandering around the shops, found a pair of really amazing shoes for $550...then laughed because yeah, no.
We all met up for lunch at the city library cafe, which is this really nice space but I wasn't impressed with the lunch menu, although I should also add that I didn't even notice the salads until it was too late. Anyways, it was nice to hang out and Kirsty and Jade met and I think they got on, as I thought they would. Then me and Jade stayed on and talked and talked and that was really nice. I'm really enjoying having her here.
Wheeee! Then I made my way into uni, stopping off at the illustrious JB Hi-Fi DVD store to pick up Black Books because, well, I had cash in my wallet and it's my birthday. ;)
Since I've been in uni I've just been talking like a whirl wind and haven't done anything, but I'm cooling down now, so I think I'll maybe, maybe, do some work now.
