Today, I took my last final EVER. It is an amazing feeling to be done with college. To celebrate, Ben came to Athens with me today & we did all the traditional campus-y stuff. We rang the bell at the chapel. I walked through the arch for the first time. We also had an early lunch at the grill...yum, yum.
When we got home I went and bought paint & painted the half-bath downstairs. Our house was newly painted when we moved in, but all a creamy, neutral color. The only other room we had painted was the living room and I was ready for more color. Besides a few touch-ups, I am basically done & it looks pretty good.
In addition to finishing college today, I got called by TWO people for interviews. My first one is tomorrow. It is with UHS Pruitt for a conference coordinator position. The job is in Norcross, so the drive would not be bad at all. The second one is next Tuesday. It is with the Susan G. Komen Foundation (!!!). I would love, love, love to work for them....talk about feeling good about your job. The position is for a special events and volunteer coordinator. This job is in Atlanta off of Roswell Rd. Not a horrible drive, but it is inside the perimeter...which makes me nervous. I don't always deal with traffic so well, but I think I would for the right job. No matter what happens with either job, I am really excited that I got two calls today because it had been over month since I heard back from anyone & I was beginning to get anxious.
Well, I must run. Daniel & Mackenzie will be here soon for pizza and Survivor. Then, I am going to bed early....today has been amazing, but very tiring. Tomorrow will be long too...I have my interview, a hair appointment (!!!), and Ben's department's Christmas party (which includes some cooking on my part tomorrow afternoon).
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
Much love,
Jennifer
