Neil Young : "don't let it bring you down"
that song has helped me through some hard times and even some good times. I have cryed to it many times and fallen asleep to it befor aswell. infact the whole album "after the gold rush" is good.
Guided By Voices : "helicopter"
its just a really good song and a catchy one as well. if you havnet heard guided by voices yet i sugest you check out this song.
Codeine : "broken hearted wine"
one of the best sub pop bands ever and most underated sub pop band ever in my opinion.the song is a slow slightly out of tune song.
:Smile : "rock anthem for the retarded teenage hipster population"
its on the album MAQUEE.
Dinosaur Jr : "out there"
one of my favorite bands.
The Toadies : "possum kingdom"
When you listen to it you will remember it. It was kind of big or popular on the radio for a short time in the mid to late 90s. Everyone thought it was a love song but its actually about a sadistic killer that would tourture women and keep them captive in his basment where he would force them to be his lovers and wives and tryed to make them love him and if they didnt he would murder them and tourtcher them. among other sick things. its pretty disgusting. the band doesn't condone the miss treatment of women and niether do I. the band just wanted to write a song from the mind of the killers perspective of being desperate to be wanted and doing anything to be loved. noone got it though. but know that you know this go back and listen to the song and read the lyrics and its crazy .
I left why I liked most these songs (1 through 5 )short becuse I didn't want to explain the songs as what they ment to me. Becuse,all the songs above are good and should be listened to with your own perspective. song 6 I explain why it gets stuck in my head.
