I feel so optimistic.

I finally had a good day today. No bullshit. I had a great day at work. Earlier this morning I wrote a letter to the Ceo, the VP, Marketing manager, Regional Manager, and my DM. Ive been kicking this idea around my head about hot topic teaming with rock the vote to get people to be able to pick up voter registration at hot topic or possibly register with us sending in the forms(tho i'm not sure how complicated that would be to organize). Thanks again to jillyfishie for going over it with me.
You can read the letter
I am writing all of you to offer an idea that I have. With the upcoming election year I feel that its more important than ever for everyone of age to exercise their constitutional right to vote. Hot Topic's employees have a strong voice with our customers. They come to us for advice on music and fashion. Hot Topic's employees are viewed as pseudo rock stars. The sales associates often have stories about how at school they are known for being the cool kid that works at Hot Topic. It would be great if we all were able to help influence our customers to contribute to society. I am proposing that Hot Topic joins with Rock the Vote to allow our customers to pick up registration forms at the stores. I know that if we are talking up the importance of voting and getting registered, Hot Topic's employee's would help educate much of America's youth.

Rock the Vote is an organization that reaches out to America's youth and gets them registered to vote. I recently went with my sister to her university's open campus day. Rock the Vote was there with its volunteers spreading the word on the importance of voting and getting people registered. It got me thinking. How many of those people would have bothered to register if Rock the Vote hadn't been there? During the election year, Rock the Vote is often featured on MTV while at their various registration stops. If Hot Topic were to team with Rock the Vote they could have stops at the malls we are in. It would not only help the nation, but also would be a fantastic marketing tool for Hot Topic.

Rock The Vote is already changing America's voice. With Hot Topic's help, all of us could be reaching a broad and varied group of young people, who have not been given the knowledge of how easy it is to vote. I don't know what it would take to organize Hot Topic's union with Rock the Vote, but I can promise that I would help in any way I could. Please let me know how you feel about this idea, and what my co-workers and other Hot Topic employees can do to help get the ball rolling.
Thank you for your time,

My DM called me within 10 minutes of me sending it out to tell me how great it was. She thought it was an awesome idea and couldn't wait to hear what Betsy (the ceo) would say. It was good to hear her compliment me. She really treats me like total garbage. She tells me I'm overreacting when I tell her things like oh "i caught my sales associate stealing". Shes an evil bitch and I hate her. SO it was incredible to hear her compliment me. I honestly think its the first time she has.

ALSO today at work the Loss Prevention Director came to my store to interview the sales associate I caught stealing and try to get him to admit it. You see, I caught him with a CD still in the shrink wrap with the price tag pealed off. Since it didn't have a price tag I really couldn't prove he stole it. The LP guy got to my store, after quickly saying hello to me, he took the sales associate to the back to talk. He was out in 15 minutes with the kid. He got the kid to admit it and HE MADE HIM CRY. good lord! That LP guy must say some crazy shit to you if he can make that kid cry!

I love this! So then my DM called me AGAIN to tell me that the LP guy called her and how proud she was of me and how shes giving me Hot Topics award for preventing loss. HOORAY! I'm a superstar today!

I'm excited to move to my new house too. I don't plan on unpacking anything thats unnecessary. I think if I look at packed boxes all day it will push me to MOVE OUT.

Wow such a long post for me. It would be even longer if I told you all about the insane drama I had with that Dayna girl I took to dinner with me on Friday night. Maybe tomorrow. Sleep now.
