WTF CLAMP?!
So I just read the last chapter to xxxHolic. I haven't read any of the chapters leading up to it; actually, I haven't been reading xxxHolic for several years now. Even though I haven't been up to date with the series, I still had the biggest feeling of rage at CLAMP.
Really? REALLY? You're going to end it like that?
I don't need to be up to date with that series at all to say, "F U CLAMP!" That was the biggest finger you could have given to fans of that series.
But then, in all honesty, it was a completely CLAMP-like ending. Absolutely no resolution at all. Maybe I'd feel better about it if I have read all the chapters, but I'm not sure if I want to. I don't think CLAMP has had a feel good happy ending (without any major bumps or deaths) since CCS. All of their series with "happy endings" seem to require characters dying or being maimed brutally or mentally fucked up before they can have their happy endings. It just is not right.
Maybe after letting my confused feelings settle down, I'll be in a better mood to re-read xxxHolic.
I feel really bad for the fans who had been dedicatedly following xxxHolic all these years. I read all the RAGE comments on the LJ community. It seems that everyone is feeling the same.
