So, Kerry and I found a babysitter last weekend so that we could go out for dinner and a movie. Halfway through dinner, I started feeling really nauseated. Halfway through the movie, I had to run out of the theatre to puke. We left early and picked up the baby. By the time we made it home, I was running a high fever and couldn't move. I texted a friend from work to come help me with the baby the next day because I knew I wouldn't be able to take care of her at the rate I was going. She came over and kept Katie while I laid down. I was still throwing up and running to the bathroom and running a fever of 103. I couldn't keep down water and it was obvious that I was not getting any better so I called Kerry and told him I needed to go to the ER. When he came to pick me up, he said that I looked like something out of a Tim Burton movie. We waited in the ER for seven hours before we were admitted. A little back story is necessary - three weeks ago I had an awful stomach bug that I went to the doctors office for and was given a round of antibiotics to take. A week later, I get a severe sinus infection and go back to the doctor for another round of a different antibiotic, as well as an antibiotic shot in the ass. Sounds like a lot of antibiotics, right? Turns out all the antibiotics I had been taking killed off all the 'good bacteria' in my stomach and made me violently ill. I'd never been so sick in my entire life, and am so glad to be feeling better. I was hospitalized overnight and had lost nine pounds in 48 hours, which I didn't even realize was possible. My mother in law came out here the next day to help me with Katie and I'm not sure when she plans on leaving, but I'm kinda ready to have my apartment back. She's great though, she keeps Katie at night so that we can sleep (hallelujah!) and cooks us amazing meals and helps us out tremendously. I got really blessed in the mother in law department. Unfortunately, Kerry got the short end of that stick!
I went to church on Sunday for the first time in six years and am very pleased with the one that I chose. They had an awesome band and I loved the pastors sermon. It almost felt like he was talking right to me. I don't know, I don't mean to bring on the religious stuff, but I'm excited about going back next week and can see myself making some changes
