The mountain was enjoyable yesterday with loads of powder. I did a few jumps but had the most fun with the cornice's. Joey and Carolyn came with us and us three were together most of the time. We left at four hoping to make it back before dinner, but ended up going 8 miles before dinner was a topic of discussion. They had closed to roads because of a 5 mile strip of ice and we had crawled for 3 hours barely making it to government camp.  We then went to a restaurant only to find out the waiting list time was an hour and a half. Back out on the road in 5 minutes my dad thought the roads were "moving". An hour and a half later, 800 feet from where we had come from at government camp we did a U-turn and decided the wait was worth it. We were currently under the occupation of Dan- Table for 5 and we got seated 20 minutes later. After dinner we were back in the car at 11:00 and the roads were moving slowly, but had been opened. At 1:30 we had finally made it home after dropping everyone off.
