Happy Thanksgiving!

I'm heading to my mom's in a little bit. She's cooking a big meal complete with turkey which I don't eat. She is kind enough to always make me a pot of dressing cooked outside the bird with veggie broth and no one else eats it so it's mine to take home. Aside from the Thanksgiving favs we're having sour cream cucumbers which is one of my favorite sides ever. Basically you marinate some cukes in vinegar and water, drain that off after a few hours and then toss with sour cream, salt and pepper. So delicious!

I won't be having a Tofurkey. Frankly, I'm not super impressed with them and sides are always enough for me.

I made my famous (or Chuck's famous) Pear Pie with Gruyere Cheese Crust. The recipe is in here but it's under Apple Pie with Gruyere Cheese Crust. I made this pie two years ago for Thanksgiving and my mom has demanded it ever since.

Then later I'm heading to my friend Paulette's to celebrate the evening with The Gay Brady Bunch. I'm pretty sure you can figure that one out. Anyway, I love them to pieces and I always laugh till my face hurts. For them I made a Hazelnut, White Chocolate and Pumpkin Cheesecake. I've never made this before but I can't even fathom how this would be bad.

Hopefully later I can get a picture of it with the crust.

For myself this week I made Cranberry Bread (recipe to come) and Roasted Glazed Winter Vegetables.

I hope everyone has a wonderful stomach filled Thanksgiving!
