....

Oh, c'mon you guys, cheer up! Seeing your parents can't be that bad! It's just the weekend right so just suffer for three days and before you know it, it'll disappear in an instant. You'll never have to worry about it ever again...until winter break starts.

Speak for yourself chica. My mother disowned me and my father's off in America. Wouldn't that be a lovely howler waiting to happen.

O-oh...um...well, I mean your dad can come right? Oh wait, the howler...

He's on a spiritual retreat. The howler would come from him. Mom would just ignore me or send hit wizards after me.

What kind of parents do you even have? She can ignore you but I'm sure she wouldn't send hit wizards after you.

You don't know dear ol' mum. She's a pureblood who whelped a half blood with a muggle.

Ooohhhh. Jeez, what's wrong with people these days? Are they that heartless that they'll be willing to kill their child because of blood?

Well, you could hide in Hogwarts. Hide realllly well.

She, not they. Dad's actually pretty cool; he just takes his faith seriously enough to isolate himself from the outside world once a year.

It's her I'd have to watch out for. I have a feeling Dumbledore probably sent both of them letters. Best case scenario, neither shows up but I get howlers from both of them.

Worse case scenario.... Yeah. I hate parents day.

Jeez, am I going to have to put 'in need of new parents' posters all over Hogwarts?

No thanks. Parents get you no where. And anyway I graduate this year, then it's home free.

But you always need something to fall back on...especially your parents.

Not really. I've never had a problem without them before. I got a job to fall back on, and friends in America.

Then that's just neglect!

Try telling my ex-mother that. *is getting irritated at the round-about conversation* Anyway, what's done is done. I have homework to do. *more like sneaking out to the Hogs Head*
