For Nisha....
I was talking to a friend, FY that I have gotten quite close to recently.
It's strange, cos previously we were only hi-bye aquaintances, but over the exam period, we have developed a semblance of friendship between us, forged on stress, mutual encouragement and mutual help and support.
So we were sitting outside the library in the cool sunny spring afternoon, and I was once again doing my encouragement act, telling him not to give up in his fight of the elusive 2-1 prize because I once knew a dear friend who never did stop believing, and even right up till the last minute, she never stopped fighting.
This is a favourite story of mine, because to me, this is as real as fairy tales go.
But I never knew how much people she had inspired up till today.
FY heard the recount, and then he exclaimed, "oh, so that's the legend."
You see Nish, you have become some sort of an inspiration amongst us.
Because of you, many in my cohort have never stopped fighting, because after all, you have shown them that hard work will come through, and you can always count on the miracle to come through for you.
And so whenever the going gets tough babe, take heart that it was once this rough too, and you came out of it with more than most people I know.
You're amazing babe, and dont ever ever let anyone get away with making you think otherwise.
