I'm very close to falling asleep right now, but I must not drool on my keyboard.
I've been incredibly busy lately. My dad has a good friend from Houston who should be here any minute. He's going to stay for a few days. Andy got a new job, which is full-time. It's at a hospital, and though he's explained it many a time I still can't remember what he does. He witnessed someone attempting to steal a baby from the nursery. I never found out why they tried to do that, but the baby is safe and the guy was taken by security.
I was on my way to see Andy when my cousin called and asked if I had forgotten babysitting her daughters. I specifically remember Beth (cousin) asking me on tuesday if I would babysit next friday, not this friday. I didn't tell her this though, she would probably become very defensive about her intelligence. So, I called Andy, cancelled, and went to watch Gracie and Lilly. I love them, they're the best little girls in the world. But it was my boy time! I only had to make them dinner and get them to bed, but it was rough. Rodney (their dad) thinks that Gracie has obsessive-compulsive disorder. She's only three, but boy is she fierce. Every door must be closed behind her, she can only change her clothes in the living room, Lilly has to be in bed first, etc. She was pretty good today, except when Lilly finished her ice cream first. I had given Lilly a little less, so I gave her a tiny little spoonful more, and Gracie did not take it well. Next saturday I have them for the whole day, hopefully nothing gets too crazy. I'm exhausted after only two hours.
After work tomorrow you know what I get to do? Babysit Jack and Moira, other cousins! The past few weeks have all been like this. I think all my cousins and older friends have decided to take turns going out every night and dumping their kids on me.
Okay, who gave Varda sugar? You do not do that, people! Ever since I got home she's been talking incessantly about Desmond, kicking things, and how she's started praying again (for the White Sox, not something like... oh I don't know... THE HURRICANES?!).
